Carla Ulbrich: Professional Smart Aleck

*
Carla Ulbrich is a comical singer-songwriter and guitarist from Clemson, South Carolina and currently living in New Jersey (all together! "What exit?!").

Primarily known for writing humorous songs about such topics as wedgies, Waffle House, Klingons, and how rich she would be if she had a copyright on the 'F' Word, she cites her biggest musical influences as Sesame Street, camp songs, and cat food commercials.

Carla is also a survivor of catastrophic illness and author of the resulting book, “How Can You NOT Laugh at a Time Like This?” During her many hours in doctors’ waiting rooms she wrote humorous parodies lampooning her frustrating experience with the US health care system, which she released on her best-selling CD, "Sick Humor.”

Carla just released her 6th CD, "Totally Average Woman," an all-funny-music release with 5 original songs, 7 parodies and a ridiculous bonus track. Her songs are regularly played on Pandora.com, Dr. Demento, Sirius XM's Laugh USA Radio, and a number of community and college stations throughout the globe (when the Music Director is on vacation).

Carla has toured all over the US and parts of England, has appeared on ABC and USA Network, once shared the bill with Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel, and was a background actor in “Sharknado 2.”

"Very talented, very funny, very personable, and an easy act to work with. We would be hard pressed to imagine anyone not enjoying a set... thoughtful and intelligent, sometimes clever observations about life are written in an often wry and humorous manner are placed over very strong melodies and guitar work that is recognized as some of the best in her genre."
-Seegar Swanson, manager of Fiddler’s Green Coffeehouse
